1/4 cup water
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1. Peel, core, & chop the pears into quarters.
2. In a medium saucepan, add the pears, water & cloves. Cover and heat on medium for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally unitl the pears are tender. Let the pears cool slightly.
3. Using a slotted spoon, scoop the pears out of the saucepan, leaving any extra water behind.
4. Place the pears in a blender. Puree until you reach your desired consistency, adding reserved cooking water in increments as needed.
